AT THE END OF EACH MONTH (before pilot returns to work) AND QUARTERLY (after they return to flying) , SEND A NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE PILOTíS RECOVERY PROGRESS TO THE ABOVE.† You will need to include in the reports AA involvement, work with sponsor and any significant problems you see the pilot working through in the recovery process.† If you have any suspicions of drug or alcohol use, conduct a test immediately and notify me at once.
The pilot needs to be participating in weekly aftercare sessions for at least one year, but will need to remain involved for the duration of FAA monitoring, which may be for a minimum period of three years to five years.† He/she should notify you regarding any absence.† If possible, please schedule an individual meeting with the pilot if an absence occurs.† If a session is missed and the pilot has not notified you, please let me know.
It is my responsibility to assist the recovering pilot, so please contact me at:† 817-963-1155 as soon as possible if you perceive any problems that may be interfering with recovery progress.† Perhaps together we can help the person stay on track.† Your claims will be processed upon receipt of aftercare reports.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.† We appreciate your help in working with our pilot during this very important life change.
Thank you again.
